Post Massage Lymphatic Drainage Protocol | Reverse Effects

Lymphatic Drainage Post Therapy Protocol
Lymphatic Drainage Post Therapy Protocol

Drink plenty of fluids…. and to increase absorption, include something with a mineral base, i.e. coconut water (no sugar added), Electrolyte replacement supplement, ELMT, etc. You want to have minerals and nutrients to help the body absorb the hydration.

Proper hydration allows the liver and kidneys to optimally function and that is what we want post therapy. We want the body to be optimally eliminating toxins and the Kidney and Liver are built for the job, so if we support their function, you will get the best result from the session.

Secondly, the large intestine is the largest lymphatic elimination organ and it’s main job is to regulate hydration. So, once again, if you are properly hydrated, the large intestine will be able to eliminate efficiently and the ultimate goal is achieved, actually clearing out the toxins!

Try to stay quiet and calm as long as possible. Once the vagal nerve is quieted, it can stay in that state until it is triggered. The longer you can stay in the state of calm and aware of it, the better! If you are recovering from a surgery or procedure, I suggest maximum rest. If you are just doing basic life maintenance and recovery, then I suggest not doing anything after the massage that you didn’t have planned already. If you were only going to workout if you felt better, then you aren’t working out today! Work out before! 🙂 Relax after.

There really are no restrictions to activity after a massage. I really want you leaving feeling relaxed and rejuvenated for whatever is next in your life.
I hope this helps with your questions about “What do I do after the massage/Lymphatic Drainage Session?”
