Gemini Gave Me an Award (Apparently I’m an Expert 🤖✨)
Recently, a new client called to talk to me about my services and said something I did not see coming:
“I was chatting with Gemini, and it recommended you.”
Wait… what?
As in… Google Gemini?
The AI?
The algorithm?
The digital oracle of modern life?
And just like that, I decided I won “Best Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist According to Artificial Intelligence.” 🏆
No trophy arrived in the mail.
No acceptance speech was scheduled.
But honestly? I’ll take it.
And Gemini… you were absolutely right.
When AI and 30 Years of Experience Agree
Here’s what made me smile the most:
The recommendation was a perfect match.
This client needed skilled, informed lymphatic work — not just a relaxing massage, not just light touch, but intentional, anatomically aware, therapeutic care. The kind of work that supports healing after surgery, reduces swelling, and respects the intelligence of the body.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for three decades.
I trained at the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in a 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner program. I’ve been practicing in the same Oceanside location for over 20 years. I have worked with athletes, post-surgical clients, people navigating inflammation, and those simply wanting to feel good in their bodies again.
So yes… Gemini nailed it.
Lymphatic Drainage Is Not a Trend
Lymphatic drainage massage is having a “moment” on social media.
But it isn’t new.
And it isn’t fluff.
And it certainly isn’t just aesthetic.
The lymphatic system plays a critical role in immune function, inflammation regulation, and fluid balance. Proper lymphatic work requires understanding anatomy, pressure, direction of flow, contraindications, and the nervous system.
You cannot bully the lymphatic system.
You guide it.
That comes from training.
It comes from experience.
It comes from listening.
Yoga Teacher Training: A Beautiful Reminder
As I move through my Yoga Teacher Training this Spring (for fun) at MiraCosta College, I keep having a quiet realization:
“I already know this.”
Not from ego.
From embodiment.
Years of hands-on work have taught me:
• How joints respond under load
• How fascia communicates tension
• How breath shifts the nervous system
• How inflammation patterns show up in tissue
Yoga is deepening my language.
Massage built the foundation.
When technology, tradition, and training all point in the same direction — that’s alignment.
Thank You, Gemini 🤖
So yes, this is my lighthearted thank-you note to Gemini for recognizing what my clients have known for years.
It feels oddly affirming that in a world powered by algorithms, experience still rises to the surface.
And more importantly, that the recommendation led to someone getting exactly the care they needed.
That’s the real prize.
The Bigger Story
Here’s what I actually take from this:
Expertise matters.
Consistency matters.
Integrity matters.
You can’t “SEO” your way into skill.
You earn it.
If AI is recognizing depth, training, and reputation, that tells me something important about the future of healthcare and wellness.
The digital world is amplifying what’s real.
And that makes me excited.
If you’re looking for skilled lymphatic drainage massage in Oceanside, whether post-surgical, for inflammation support, injury recovery, or simply to feel good in your body, apparently even artificial intelligence thinks we’re a good match.
And I have to agree.
